The characters in the book really hold your attention and the non-stop action, emotions keeps the pages turning.

SPRING 2008-- Charlotte's Own Shan 'Shableek' Richardson mission is to touch as many lives as possible with his music and to utilize the gifts God has given him to share with as many people as possible! MISSION IN PROGRESS!
OnPointt.com sat down with Richardson to see first hand the man behind the music. The impression we walked away with was one of pure love for his craft and the importance that he always maintain being a positive person/role model to set the tone for the 'impressionable one's', THE YOUTH!
Richardson is a self taught musician who learned to play all three saxaphones (Alto, Tenor, and Soprano ). Shan's been playing for an impressive 25 years and like other musicians,serious about their work, it is continued practice daily,staying true to the music, and focused on his career letting nothing trivial enter into the zone.
Those familiar with the Charlotte Music Scene have heard of UNCOMMON JAZZ, a great band that has opened for Mint Condition, Floetry, Lyfe Jennings and more. UJ also was the awesome band that played during the grand opening of IMAJ Salon & Spa here in North Carolina ( owners Retired Carolina Panther Mike Minter/Singing Sensation Major Recording Artist Fantasia ). Well Richardson Founded the band Uncommon Jazz and most recently started his music label N2Bleek Entertainment INC, which you are now hearing some of his solo project from his CD 'The Saxatvity of Shan 'Shableek' Richardson'.
You might be wondering where the name SHABLEEK comes from? Well we have the most interesting answer for you right now... Richardson gives credit to the Spike Lee Joint MO BETTA BLUES. Remember the characters Bleek played by Denzel Washington and Shadow played by Wesley Snipes? Put a play on both names and you get SHABLEEK. Impressivley enough, on his solo album Richardson did everything except the part of master the disc and we are sure he will get around to doing that very soon.
During our one on one with Richardson we did express together that more love has to come from many of our Charlotte Movers and Shakers who put on some great music events in the city throughout the year ( we don't need to name blast, ya know who you are if you aren't supporting localtalent )- showing more love to our local musicians. "It's like how you gonna go get a musician as a headliner out of another city who is not like a major artist and bypass some really talented musicians in your own city." says Richardson and we concur on that. It's okay to invite some artist who are well received in the city of Charlotte but you can believe if it were the other way around, unless they were major artist, the headliner of a nice musical event would be pulled directly from the city.
Despite this cause we gonna keep it positive on the outro ( cause we are groovin at this feature CHIC CHARLOTTE), here is one brother who is clearly on the way to major status. We look forward to hearing more good sounds and more good things from this talented brother! Shableek's music is filled with soul, passion, which brings serentity to the listener. He continues to receive rave reviews from his growing fan base!
