Nnude Speaks Volumes! FLAT'S THAT FRIGIN ROCK!
POWER OF THE BIRKIN! DISCUSSING THE BIRKIN BAG!
It's March 2008, Publisher BL is recovering from the last effects of the flu bug but I carry on in her absence! I'm Aariah the fashion fanatic and I take on NNUDE SPEAKS VOLUMES. The discussion is Flats That Friggin Rock! I'm 5"7, for the most part as a fashion fanatic I like being in my 3 inch to 4 inch heels. Truth be told, I have retired the 3 1/2 to 4 inch heels and at times I rock my 3' inch heels but I am most at ease for all day'ers and nighter's in the 2 1/2 inch heels and the trendy flats!
So check it out, it's my first shot at Nnude Speaks Volumes so I call up my good friend Tracee to chime in on the flat's craze.
She models in New York part-time standing 5"11 so this should be quite interesting. I'm ready to go with my Starbuck's Java Chip Frapp and cranberry danish, Tracee is sipping on some Moroccan Pomegranted Red Roobibos Tea by Celestial Seasons and doing the whole fried plantains drizzled with honey, topped with unsalted pecans. Looking at my eats, I am feeling the urge to go for a second danish but I reconsider as I am currently trying to lose the last stubborn 15 pounds for summer fun. So let's get started on this discussion... --AARIAH THE FASHION FANATIC 2008
aariah-- You know I never thought that I would say this but I find myself trying to find more and more flats that can fit my nightwear, rather than putting on the heels. ( laughing )
tracee-- I feel you on that. I just love that the fashion gods say flats are still the in thing and to not store them away! Even in my line of work it feels so good not having to put on the heels. My dates really like the whole in style look too ( laughing )
aariah-- Yes it's really nice... a change and better for you and those must have heels you bought... saves on the wear and tear.
So check it out Tracee, I am not a gladiator gal, so I won't be rocking those flats but I was thumbing through the fashion mags and saw some great flats by Diane Von Furstenburg the Motlo at $265 and I just had to go there and get them.
tracee-- I actually love the gladiator's sandals and D&G really have a nice collection. I did see the Molto's.... very nice.
aariah-- BL was discussing with me that she picked up some nice flats from Nordstrom that she could wear during a nice evening where your ensemble was dressy. Even though BL is 5"4, a shorty, she doesn't like pounding away at her coveted heels during long evenings out, so she is right with us when it comes to chilling and being stylish in some flatwear for your feet.
tracee-- I see so many women suffer at the end of a workday or an evening out trying to hobble to their cars, hail a cab and those that don't hobble, have this pained look on their faces. It's like 'Girl, I know you just want to take off those heels and bare-feet it.
( we both laugh it up, cause it's true, the pained look on the faces, the hobble walks, go get you some fierce flats and rock on )
aariah-- In all fairness I must say that you should always be in the mindset that heels have their place... there is just something about how all of us feel when our feet is pedicure ready, smelling divine for some licks if necessary and all of us strut like super model material when it is time to really strut our stuff in a room, along the city streets, on a date or simply around the house.
tracee-- I put on music, like some 80's music from my teenage years, and just get silly around the house in my heels!
aariah-- Same, I do the same at times too, then my baby walks in the room, walks back out and I just carry on likeTim Gunn says!
aariah-- How are those plantains? I am foaming at the mouth over here for what you are eating tracee.
tracee-- They are good actually, I wish you could join me because I fried up like three bunches to really make an all day glutton of myself. Harry is dropping by and most likely bringing along Smith so I'd better enjoy all that I can now.
aariah-- If he is bringing Smith which ladies and gentlemen is my ex from ten years ago, you'd better enjoy the moment now.
aariah -- thank you tracee for joining me at this feature, it really was a joy to know you share in my love and many others love for flats! May they never go out of style, never ( I say holding up the rest of my declicious frapp ).
tracee-- My pleasure, I would love to do this again. It was fun, it's always fun talking about fashion. be good aariah...
aariah-- Thanks for viewing my first moment at Nnude speaks volumes, get better BL! - Nnude 2008

COME CORRECT 2008
--I'm loving the whole Jackie O look that Valentino placed on the runway for the 2008 Couture Line. ( 1st left ) and I'm so loving ( third from left ), the floral dress with the capped sleeves. Very romantic and with the long glove ensembles, very sexy. Valentino's Spring Couture Line for Spring 2008, you can view more of at STYLE.COM. Definitely loving the view!
--Aariah Fashion Fanatic
Celine! I am never disappointed with this line at all. I actually rave all four picks here from the Spring Ready To Wear Line 2008. I did mention to a girlfriend I wold not put on a red dress so quickly but this on really peaked my interest. I find it very Sophia Loren, Dorothy Dandrige, Natalie Wood, West Side Story feel. Ah the black dress, very nice and the detail at the bottom, very flowing, love it and the bag too! You can never go wrong with the creme. Celine aces it with both the dress and pant set.
I love the line view more at STYLE.COM

--DVF knows how to create clothes for a woman period! Headwraps so 70's and chic going witht he flowing pieces are really nice! Bebe does the selection second left remind you of the Rhoda days? --Aariah
--Yes it does! ( laughing ). I could see that whole Rhoda, Maude, Mary Tyler Moore thing going on and I could see the late Statuesque Tamara Dobson aka Cleopatra Jones in this ensemble kicking some butt! - BEBE
