Keith Kebo Brown, Visionary ~ THE HUSHBOX.COM ~ KEITH A BROWN DESIGNS ~ Atlanta Georgia

(EOM) Do you make DECISIONS or do you make OPTIONS?
(KKB) I make decisions that lead to a multitude of options. I 'm a doer not a talker. That get's old real quick.

(EOM) A Hope For The World.... (You Finish)
(KKB) My deepest hope for the world would be for the people of the earth to begin to celebrate the wonder of our human diversity of colors, cultures, races and religions while simultaneously acknowledging the radical reality that we are each totally unique beings that can and must be evaluated based upon our individual thoughts, words and exposure. Exposure to that which was previously unfamiliar evolves into a new understanding andf rom that new understanding hopefully, comes acceptance. When I speak of acceptance I do not mean, I "tolerate" what I must asign as "different" but rather a really alternative world view based upon accepting and knowing that as humans, whatever our DNA or experience, we are all much more alike than different.

(EOM) What are you listening to musically?
(KKB) Anthony Hamilton's Coming From Where I'm From.... one of the best kept secrets of 2003, Victor Duplaix International Affairs, Erykah Badu Worldwide Underground. Talking about stepping up....Go on my fellow Texan. Hotel Costas 6, Blue Six Beautiful Tomorrow.

(EOM) Regrets?
(KKB) I do not live my life with regrets. I learn from pitfalls and setbacks. I make myself stronger and continue my mission to bring people together. That's the creator's mission with me and I'm passionate about the task to make a difference.

(EOM) Sunset or Sunrise? (KKB) Sunrise at 6am in a hot air balloon over scenic Sedona, Arizone. It just doesn't get much better than that. Susnet on the beaches of Harbors Island in the Bahamas. Breathtaking and with a lady, O My Gawd!

(EOM) What movie (s) inspire you?
(KKB) Citizen King (Documentary on the life of Dr Martin Luther King Jr), The Blood Oranges, The Five Heartbeats.

(EOM) How do you inspire yourself? (KKB) People inspire me, travel inspires me, Mavericks who do not just speak of their vision , but find a way to make it happen, inspires me.

(EOM) What do you love about your chosen Profession? (KKB) The creative freedom, the travel and the opportunity to think outside the box. To test ideas that others in more structured corporated environments would not dare try. I like the risk and reward approach opposed to safe and sorry.

(EOM) Who would you like to send well wishes to? (KKB) My creative team: Fairchild McGough, Rene Wellman-Graham, Stephanie Deakins, Terrance Shelton, John Crooms, Nia Hill @ Strangefruit Flims in California, AB aka Tony Sunshine, Alex Szukenko, Andre 3000 (OutKast), The Global Globetrotters.

(EOM) In you believe in Heaven, What would you like to ask God when you arrive?
(KKB) Why is there so much ignorance in the world and how can we change it? I think we could stay on that subject for a while.

Kindred The Family Soul
Kindred The Family Soul Interview (Print Available Only)

This Interview was conducted at The Tonic In Charlotte North Carolina April 7, 2004.
Kindred The Family Soul was performing live at the Tonic! Stacey Blackman from V101.9 was on the 1's and 2's, CuznCity was in the house (Dare' Promoter For This Event),
Cherise Hodges, Author and Editor for The Charlotte Post was there,
Thomas Washington (Founder of THE FIRST First Friday's In Charlotte) was in attendance

The Tonic pulled a great crowd for the performance and of course the performance was
THA BOMB!

Everyone set to interview Kindred was given clearance by security and given 15 minutes.
I was second after Cherise. I was so nervous!
Once I was seated with bright lights around, I was okay. Kindred and I started vibing.

(EOM) Do you make decisions or do you make options?
(Fatin & Aja) Both stated they make decisions

(EOM) A Hope For The World
(Fatin & Aja) Peace, love, happiness

(EOM) What are you listening to musically?
(Fatin & Aja) They listen to old school soul music, much love to the Philadelphia Sound, and artist of today, too numerous to say. Both are well rounded with their musical tastes.

(EOM) Regrets?

(EOM) What movies inspire you?
(Fatin & Aja) Spike Lee Movies were named and many others ( sorry guys we were on a roll here)

(EOM) How do you inspire yourself?
(Fatin & Aja) They musically inspire each other, their children, the support of family and friends, Ashford n Simpson ( I asked if this married musical duo also inspired them, really a no brainer), their fans

(EOM) If you believe in Heaven, What would you like to ask God when you arrive?
(Fatin & Aja) Aja, said she would not ask anything she would just want to be in his presence and Fatin said there would be so much he would want to ask he couldn't name one thing really.

FINAL NOTES: They wanted it understood they just see their music as MUSIC, and they don't just see their music as NEO-SOUL ( The term the music industry gave). To them and to others like myself feel, to categorize music is simply not saying you want the music to be Universal.
MUSIC IS UNIVERSAL
We talked about how Kindred The Family Soul performed during the Black Lily Sessions

( Philly's Lilith Fairesque Jam Session).
Other performers included
Kindred, Musiq, Jill Scott, Vivian Green, Jazzyfatnastees, and of course Kindred The Family Soul.
Kindred was also asked if everyone was really down with each other (Musiq, Viv, Jill etc) and they said
OH YEAH! They all were on the grind to make music happen and knew each other from the neighborhood. When things started to happen for one, then others would be put on and the support was there until all got on! Now that is what's up! That Philly Love! Kindred also talked about how they get much love from the ones that paved the way for them:

Teddy Pendergrass, Patti Labelle and many more! We vibed as I told them I had met Teddy's mom who was a masseuse to many celebrities. This interview was a highlight for sure!
Their show was awesome. It was a packed venue at THE TONIC in Charlotte North Carolina.
We thank Hidden Beach Records, CuznCity.com, The Tonic and Kindred The Family Soul.
Essence Of MOI' Questionnaire
Elena Feliciano, NYC Artist Answers To EOM ( 2007 )
EOM: DO YOU MAKE DECISIONS OR DO YOU MAKE OPTIONS?
EF: Sometimes you make a decision, more options may open up and you keep working towards improvements in every aspect of your life. You cannot have one without the other.

EOM: A HOPE FOR THE WORLD?

EF: If I say world peace one more time someone will slap me! We all want that. I want to see women continue advancing socially, economically and politically.

EOM: WHAT ARE YOU LISTENING TO MUSICALLY?
EF: As the second youngest of six siblings, I was exposed to all kinds of music, everyone had their favorite genre, so whatever mood strikes me for the day is what I listen to.

EOM: REGRETS?
EF: I was raised on the lower east side of Manhattan. Back in the 70's and 80's it was absolutely crazy in the streets. I ran wild and learned as much out there as I did at home. Regrets? No!
It's your life experiences tht makes you what you are today.

EOM: SUNSET OR SUNRISE? EF: Sunset, time to relax and unwind.

EOM: WHAT MOVIE (S) OR MOVIE INSPIRES YOU ( limit three )
EF: No one movie inspire me but I have to say that I enjoyed the old classic movies from Hollywood's Golden Era. The costume gowns women wore were incredible.

EOM: HOW DO YOU INSPIRE YOURSELF?
EF: My inspiration comes from everywhere. Music, thoughts of childhood, the people that I surround myself with, mostly when I see what I have accomplished moves me to work better.
I have learned to pat myself on the back, it's okay to do that.

EOM: WHO WOULD YOU LIKE TO SEND WELL WISHES TO? EF: To our soldiers of course!!

EOM: IF YOU BELIEVE IN HEAVEN, WHAT WOULD YOU LIKE TO ASK GOD WHEN YOU ARRIVE?
EF: What inspired him to make women so strong, intelligent, wonderful and thank him for lipgloss and stiilettos!

INTERVIEW WITH KEITH KEBO BROWN, Of Keith A Brown Designs Atlanta Georgia
(2004 ) Kebo's interview was done via email.
He is a fashion designer and CEO of HUSHBOX.COM in Atlanta Georgia.
Kebo expressed his acceptance for the line of questions, and all systems were go for both of us. The important thing was to make sure the person being interviewed was comfortable. Many celebrities or persons in the spotlight (public figures) are always being asked the same line of questions (standard) as far as interviews go. I am always looking for a way to stand apart from the norm in media and still maintain Professionalism. Keith's interview will always be number one to me because he was the first to SET IT OFF, for Essence Of Moi.

INTERVIEW WITH Kindred The Family Soul, Hidden Beach Recording Artist
(2004) This interview was done in person. I am a fan first and foremost so I cannot even describe for you how I felt knowing that on a Sunday in Charlotte, I would be interviewing KINDRED THE FAMILY SOUL. They were perfomring during the For Sister's Only weekend that goes down every year in Charlotte and I got the hook up from a dear friend, business partner and Promoter Dare' of CuznCity.com. Aja and Fatin (Kindred) were very gracious and when I presented EOM to them, they really got into the interview. We all really vibed when I started going back in time with my memories of summer visits to Philly during my childhood all the way up to adulthood. Truly I say to you these two people are into their music for the love of it.
This was certainly a hightlight of my career!
