INTERVIEW WITH KEITH KEBO BROWN, Of Keith A Brown Designs Atlanta Georgia
(2004 ) Kebo's interview was done via email.
He is a fashion designer and CEO of HUSHBOX.COM in Atlanta Georgia.
Kebo expressed his acceptance for the line of questions, and all systems were go for both of us. The important thing was to make sure the person being interviewed was comfortable. Many celebrities or persons in the spotlight (public figures) are always being asked the same line of questions (standard) as far as interviews go. I am always looking for a way to stand apart from the norm in media and still maintain Professionalism. Keith's interview will always be number one to me because he was the first to SET IT OFF, for Essence Of Moi.
INTERVIEW WITH Kindred The Family Soul, Hidden Beach Recording Artist
(2004) This interview was done in person. I am a fan first and foremost so I cannot even describe for you how I felt knowing that on a Sunday in Charlotte, I would be interviewing KINDRED THE FAMILY SOUL. They were perfomring during the For Sister's Only weekend that goes down every year in Charlotte and I got the hook up from a dear friend, business partner and Promoter Dare' of CuznCity.com. Aja and Fatin (Kindred) were very gracious and when I presented EOM to them, they really got into the interview. We all really vibed when I started going back in time with my memories of summer visits to Philly during my childhood all the way up to adulthood. Truly I say to you these two people are into their music for the love of it.
This was certainly a hightlight of my career!

I am a big supporter of THE JAZZ CAFE' IN CHARLOTTE NC. What they have done for the city, the lovers of jazz, lovers of live performances, dining experience, it was an extreme pleasure having her on the show. What she loves about her profession is the freedom to do what she loves and of course making a living from it. That is an ultimate UTOPIA!

EOM: DO YOU MAKE DECISIONS OR DO YOU MAKE OPTIONS?
SSR: I make a lot of decisions on a dialy basis. Sometimes too much time is wasted on providing options. I've had to make many decisions in my natural life, which are the direct origin of my musical perception: meaning, along with decisions come consequences. Some good, or bad. The compilation of it all shapes your life, and from the creativity of your craft or gift is derived. My album was completely done by me. My decisons were the final say on everything.
EOM: A HOPE FOR THE WORLD?
SSR: My hope for the world is that mankind will return to things of value, respect and other sound morals. Thre is still a lot of racism and prejudice in most people that needs to be abolished. I believe in God, but to stay politically correct, the major issue in the world is the lack of concern to the value of the next man's life. My hope for the world is that mankind would care for one another, as we do ourselves.
EOM: WHAT ARE YOU LISTENING TO MUSICALLY?
SSR: I listen to a variety of styles of music. Mainly, other saxophonist's such as: Mike Phillips, Marcus Anderson, Charlie Parker, and John Coltrane, just ot name a few. I try to stay abreast of all genres of music to a certain extent. This enables me to grasp from a lot of areas, when I am improvising and creating.
EOM: REGRETS?
SSR: I have few regrets. As for regrets, I use them as motivation/stepping stones for my future.
EOM: SUNSET OR SUNRISE? :
SSR: Sunrise of course. For man, our day begins in the morning and ends at night. The Lord's day begins at night and ends in the morning time. I have been in a long period of sunsest, which is the chemistry of all my music. I am now beginning to see the break of day, which is symbolic to deliverance.
EOM: WHAT MOVIE (S) OR MOVIE INSPIRES YOU ( limit three )
SSR: For a long time, " Mo Betta Blues" by Spike Lee, was my inspiration as a musician. That's where my name, Shableek derives from.. My most inspirational move to date is " The Pursuit of Happiness". Thi sis a close replica of my life. It made me realize, that there is someone somewhere at all times struggling worse than you. If he could overcome all of those obstacles and be successful, so can I.
EOM: HOW DO YOU INSPIRE YOURSELF?
SSR: I inspire myself, by educating myself on my origin and significance that my people have had on this world. Not to sound too deep, plenty of people have suffered, sacraficed, died and have been persectured for me as a blak man to have the opportunity to succeed. It would all be in vain if I don't somehow carry the torch and try to achieve at the highest level possible. My kids are a great inspiration to me. I want to always be a positive example to them and anybody else, to know that if you work hard anything is attainable.
EOM: WHO WOULD YOU LIKE TO SEND WELL WISHES TO?
SSR: I would like to send well wishes to all musicians that are out here trying to make it. Also I would like to extend well wishes to all that have suffered in this country nd the world that don't have the resources or resovle to free themselves.
EOM: IF YOU BELIEVE IN HEAVEN, WHAT WOULD YOU LIKE TO ASK GOD WHEN YOU ARRIVE?
SSR: I want to ask God, what was he thinking when he created me? Why did I receive the gifts I have? The main questions is why did I have to go through the things I have been through to be where I am? I know why in my own finite mind, but I want to really know.
