An evening in Columbia South Carolina... August 31st, a clear night, the weather just right and those in the METRO AREA, CAPITAL CITY were about to experience great talent at South Carolina's State Museum in the Historic Gervais Street Area. Headlining were Electronic Violinist Ken Ford, Marcus Johnson, CoCo Brown from the Phat Cat Players and more! This evenings entertainment was sponsored by GEG Events/The Jazz Cafe'/Charlotte NC and Kiss FM 98.5.

It was a SOLD OUT CROWD, a very mature crowd, and the entertainment was absolutely phenomenal! OnPointt.com arrived at 8:00pm est. Immediately we were past the velvet ropes and started mingling with the crowd of liked minds. We spoke with some of the performers for the evening. They enjoyed themselves, interacted with fans of their music and made available to the crowd their music to purchase. CoCo Brown performed the unforgettable SUNDRESS and the crowd was simply loving it, simply loving it! The LIVE PERFORMANCES are definitely so much more better in our opinion. Ken Ford was electrifying as ever and so was Marcus Johnson and his band. Those we interviewed on/off audio were very pleased with all persons performing. This weekend in Columbia South Carolina celebrated THE PALMETTO CITY CLASSIC. We give a special acknowledgement to Benedict College, Go BC! It was an amazing evening in the Capital City! An evening in Charlotte North Carolina. Saturday November 10, 2007, I was invited to sit in on a Jam Session with MLC3 Band.
It was an unscripted moment, very unplugged media coverage. It was a cool vibe of jazz, funk, spoken word grooves. While this coverage is unplugged, not having all the tweaked sounds, it was meant to be this way. Artist who make up a majority of our visitation, completely understand a jam session unrehearsed from a studio session that is more 'polished'. So at some of our visitors request, we brought back this media coverage! This gives one a first hand account of what goes on in a jam session where everyone is flowing, and giving a visitor like OP a taste of what to expect live and direct!

In no way is this a bad reflection of the band because we received great feedback from listeners. What we find is that alot of visitors to OP enjoy our unscripted coverage. Too much scripted coverage, sometimes can come across as fake. Fake is not our style. At the end of this coverage you can hear more MLC3's 'polished' grooves, so you get a mix of 'unplugged' and 'not so unplugged.' We will do another media coverage with MLC3 for 2008, a more complete sound.
